Synopsis of Moonfall (2022)
As the moon begins to drift out of orbit and gets closer to the timeline of its collision with Earth, the U.S. Department of Defense proposes to use a nuclear bomb to get the moon back into normal orbit. But “Dr. Fake” (John Bradley) discovers that the moon’s interior is empty and that an alien civilization is manipulating the moon’s trajectory.
The plan is gradually accepted by two astronauts (Patrick Wilson and Halle Berry), but the former has been fired from NASA because of a space accident years ago. At the critical moment, the latter has been promoted to the head of the board and decided to use a spacecraft abandoned in a museum to fly to the moon again, with the former’s superb driving experience, deep into the heart of the moon to complete the task.
